NNF Equipment Training Minicourse
NNF Equipment Training Minicourse
The Nebraska Nanoscale Facility annually holds a free 3-day in-person equipment training minicourse.
NNF specialists will provide in-person, hands-on training from March 16-18, 2026 at the Voelte-Keegan Nanoscience Center on the City Campus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (16th and W Streets). During this time, the program will train new users in the technical aspects of any two pieces of equipment of their choice. Participants will have the opportunity to learn materials analysis, advanced materials characterization, fabrication of nanostructured materials, electronic devices, structural components, and advances in nanotechnology. Attendees will also have the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the potential benefits for their research and development activities and learn how to become users of the facilities.
Limited space is available for in-person training in Lincoln; please register as soon as it opens. Registered participants receive free lodging at a local hotel for 1-2 nights and some meals. (Sorry, no accommodations are available for accompanying friends or family.) Participants in 2024 and 2025 are not eligible to attend this course again. Participants should be willing to share hotel accommodations with another person.
